CPN (Maoist) giving message of unity in Khairhani
Chitwan. After the CPN (Maoist) dispute, two groups have been divided up to the ward level. They are holding gatherings, meetings and agitations of others.
Prime Minister KP Oli, who is also the CPN (Maoist) president, and another president, Pushpa Kamal Dahad, are now divided into the Prachanda-Madhav Kumar Nepal faction. The CPN (Maoist) has united in Khairhani of Chitwan while there is competition between the two camps within its own party even in the conventions of various organizations. Attempts have been made to convey the message that the CPN (Maoist) is united in the upcoming convention of Khairhani. It has been claimed that there is no group within the CPN (Maoist) in the election under the convention.
Electoral competition is taking place between a progressive group of businessmen close to the CPN (Maoist) and a democratic group of businessmen close to the Nepali Congress. Where businessmen close to the two parties have formed a panel and are busy in election propaganda. On behalf of the Progressive Group, the Election Campaign Committee held a press conference and clarified that there was no dispute within the CPN (Maoist) in the election.
Coordinator of the Election Campaign Committee Kul Prasad Bhushal said that the CPN (Maoist) was united in the election and won the election. At the press conference, Shesh Kumari Sadaula, a candidate for the post from the Progressive Group of Businessmen close to the CPN (Maoist), also said that they have gone ahead in the election without any faction. Oli’s candidacy for the presidency is in its own right.
She also said that they were trying to convey the message of being united in Khairhani no matter what. Rameshwar Pokhrel, Laxman Niraula, CPN (Maoist) leaders Kamal Raj Pathak, Keshav Kadenl and Nilhari Thapa also said that the CPN (Maoist) was united in the election.
Sure to win the election
Progressive groups have claimed that they will win the election for the new working committee of the Khairhani Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The claim of winning the election was presented at a press conference organized by the group to provide information about the election agenda.
On behalf of the Progressive Group, Presidential candidate Shesh Kumar Sadaula said, that they are confident of winning the election by Oli. Claiming that they are now ahead by 200 votes, Oli clarified that the only thing left to do is to announce the outcome of the election. “We are confident of winning the election,” Oli said.
Oli, who is also the second vice-chairperson of the current working committee, announced that if she wins the election, she will work to lead women, develop business plans and work for security. Member candidate Rameshwor Pokhrel said that the association would be expanded to rural areas as it is market-centric.
Arjun Lamsal, Binod Nepal, Laxman Niraula, Tilak Mani Pathak, Prem BK, Ajay Kumar Rawal, Durga Ghimire, Prem Narayan Joshi are the candidates for the industry while Rameshwar Pokhrel, Chiranjivi Aryal, Ram Sharan Karki, Lal Mani Kunwar, Navin Kumar Shrestha and Ammar Raj Upreti are the candidates.
