More than 9,000 people were vaccinated on the first day
Kathmandu. More than 9,000 people across the country have been vaccinated against Covid-19 on Wednesday. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population Prof. Dr. Jageshwor Gautam informed that 9,084 people were vaccinated on the first day.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has inaugurated the Covishield vaccine, which was brought with a grant from the Government of India. According to the spokesperson Prof. Dr. Gautam, there are 1,255 people in Province No. 1, 726 people in Province No. 2, 2,694 people in Bagmati Province, 1,843 people in Gandaki Province, 733 people in Lumbini Province, 751 people in Karnali Province and 1,082 people in Far Western Province. People have been vaccinated.
The government has set a target of vaccinating 430,000 people. On the same day, the Government of India had given one million vaccines to Nepal as a grant. Spokesperson Gautam said that no health problem was seen in the vaccinated people after the successful launch of the vaccination campaign.
The vaccination center in Kathmandu was monitored by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Health Minister Hridayesh Tripathi. Ministry spokesperson Prof Dr.Gautam said that they have encouraged the vaccinators and service providers by monitoring the TRI Teaching Hospital, irendra Sainik Hospital, Virendra Police Hospital, Patan Institute of Health Sciences, Philanthropic Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital.
Similarly, Minister Tripathi inspected the vaccination centers at Veer Hospital, Civil Hospital, Shukraraj Tropical and Communicable Diseases Hospital and Armed Police Force Hospital in Balambu.
