Kathmandu. Unimoney Qatar, a remittance service provider, and IME Limited, a remittance service provider in Nepal, and IME Pay, a digital payment service provider in IME Limited, have reached an agreement for PTP money transfer. After the agreement, Nepali citizens who send remittances through Unimoney Qatar can get the money directly in the recipient’s IME Pay Wallet, the company said.

According to the agreement, remittances sent from Unimoney Qatar to the service recipients will be available directly at IME Pay in Nepal.

Remittances can be sent to Nepal based on the mobile number registered with IME Pay and the name of the recipient, said Floyd Johnny, General Manager, Unimony Qatar.

Hemraj Dhakal, Chairman, IME Digital Solutions Limited, a promoter of the IME Pay brand, said that it was important for the service recipients to be able to securely receive money in their wallets during the Corona Virus (Covid-19) epidemic.

Qatar is the main source country for remittances entering Nepal. Nepal, which has been receiving more than 800 million remittances annually, is considered to be the largest market in South Asia.

On the occasion of the launch of the service, the money sent by IME Digital through Unimoney Qatar was received by the recipient directly in IME Pay Wallet. Arrangements have been made to get cashback up to Rs 60.
