Prachanda-Madhav faction is on the streets
Kathmandu. Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda-Madhav Kumar Nepal has staged a sit-in protest against the dissolution of the House of Representatives.
On Wednesday, members of the disbanded House of Representatives, members of the Constituent Assembly and members of the State Assembly from the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Prachanda-Madhav faction staged a sit-in at Maitighar Mandal against the dissolution of the House of Representatives.
Pampha Bhusal, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPN-Prachanda-Madhav faction and a member of the dissolved House of Representatives, said that the sit-in was held to correct the unconstitutional dissolution of the parliament and return to the country. He said that the sit-in was held to protect the constitution, federalism, republic and public opinion.
Haribol Gajurel, a member of the dissolved House of Representatives, said that there was a need for a general sit-in as the people had interfered in the constitution drafted by their representatives. He said that they have been holding sit-ins with the belief that the people will come to defend the constitution and the constitution.
The CPN-Prachanda-Madhav faction has been organizing various programs of agitation against the dissolution of the House of Representatives. The sit-in, which started on Wednesday, will last for two hours every day except Saturday.
