Disaster in Nepal in 2020: 4,500 people lost their lives
Kathmandu. In the year 2020, 4,504 people have died due to various incidents in the country. A total of 102 people have gone missing and 5,260 people have been injured in the disaster.
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, 2,084 people have died in road accidents. One thousand 856 people have died due to Covid-19. At least 303 people have been killed and 64 others are missing in the landslide. According to NEA, 42 people have died and 37 have gone missing due to the floods.
According to the NEA, 29 people died due to snake bites, 53 due to fire, 82 due to lightning and 54 people lost their lives due to various other incidents. The details are from January to December 31, 2020.
According to NEA, the total human loss is 88 percent from road accidents and Covid-19 alone. The government has urged all to take precaution as the infection of Covid-19 is still going on. This time, floods and landslides have caused great loss of life and property in different districts of the country during the rainy season.
