Police and Walling were tied when APF defeated Army
Kathmandu. After defeating Tribhuwan Army Club 2-0, APF clinched a clear victory in the third match while another departmental team Nepal Police Club drew with Waling Municipality Syang.
In the match played at the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) headquarters in Lalitpur, APF has won three matches in a row. In another match, Police drew 1-1 with Waling of Mofasal.
The goal scored in the first half was decisive as APF won the third match. Anjali Yonjan and Saru Limbu scored for APF in the first half. Anjali scored the first goal in the 27th minute and Saru Limbu scored in the injury time to give the team a 2-0 lead.
With the victory, APF has got 9 points from three games. The defeated army has 4 points.
In the first match of the league on Tuesday, the police took the lead from Walling at the headquarters of the ANFA Complex in Satdobato, equalizing it in the second half.
Foreigner Mitho Ildai Ruth scored for Walling in the 53rd minute. The team played a goalless draw in the first half and played an aggressive game in the second half. Rekha Poudel scored the equalizer in the 65th minute for the departmental team.
After that, both the teams competed for a clear victory but both the teams shared the points as they could not take advantage of the good opportunities. Police have five points from three games while Walling has only two.
