The government will help if informed while going for mountaineering: Prime Minister Oli

Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said that the government would help him if he was informed while going to climb the mountain.

Expressing congratulations to ten Nepali climbers, including Nirmal Purja, who returned home after climbing the world’s second highest mountain, Mount K2, on Tuesday, Prime Minister Oli formally informed the government in the coming days that the government would provide assistance as per the cluster.


He said that the successful ascent of Mount K2 has raised the profile and pride of the country.

Prime Minister Oli also said that the government would give awards to the climbers in the coming days. He said that arrangements will be made to honor him along with the award.


Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Bhanubhakta Dhakal said that the state would not be unaware of the bold steps taken by the adventurous youth in the coming days. He said that the state would focus on protecting the next generation along with the present.

Nirmal Purja, a climber of Mount K2, said that there is something that can be done by climbing the mountain in unison. He says that he has made Nepal’s name known to the world by climbing Mount K2.


A group of ten Nepali climbers had successfully climbed Mount K2 on Magh 3. The team returned to Nepal on Tuesday.
