Kathmandu. Scientists at the American pharmaceutical company Moderna have said that their covid vaccine has been able to cope with a new and more contagious type of coronavirus.

According to the company, initial laboratory tests showed that the vaccine could detect and fight such variants of the virus.

Additional studies should be performed on people who have been vaccinated. He said he would add a second booster to the new strain of coronavirus that appeared in South Africa.

What type

Preliminary studies have shown that the new species, which first appeared in the UK and South Africa, is more lethal than the previous ones. These new types of covid have spread rapidly in many countries.

Various changes in the virus at this time have been shown to infect human cells more easily in the early stages of an epidemic. Experts say the new strain, which spread from the UK in September, was up to 70 percent more contagious.

The vaccines that are being prepared at this time are prepared during the early stages of the virus. But scientists believe that even if it works with a new type of virus, it remains to be seen whether it will.

Test
Based on some preliminary results, Pfizer’s vaccine has been shown to protect against the new UK-variant. To study Moderna, researchers examined blood samples from eight people who had received both vaccines.

Although their findings are yet to be reviewed in the scientific community, they appear to be resistant to the new virus. Viruses cannot enter human cells because of the inactivation of viruses produced by the body’s immune system. Sufficient antibodies to inactivate the virus have been found in new blood samples.

But the type that emerged from South Africa was not as strong as the UK type. “This means that in the case of South Africa (variants, the ability to protect against the virus can be lost quickly.) Moderna is currently examining the benefits of a third-booster booster vaccine.”
