A fire broke out at an Indian company that makes corona vaccines, at least 5 people are dead
Kathmandu. At least five people have been killed in a fire at the office of the Serum Institute of India in Maharashtra, India, which is making vaccines against Covid 19.
A large fire broke out on Thursday while millions of vaccines were being produced. Five people have lost their lives in the fire so far. The fire also destroyed millions of dollars worth of medicines and equipment used to produce BCG vaccines.
The fire broke out at the Pune-based factory of the Serum Institute of India, which has been providing covishield corona vaccine in various countries in South Asia, including India, since 3 pm. The fire broke out on the fourth and fifth floors of the company’s production house.
Fifteen firefighters had to work for an hour and a half to control the fire. After the fire brigade put out the fire, the rescue team has recovered five bodies from the spot. All of them were workers there.
There was another fire at around 7 pm. Which took a lot of effort. Rescue teams have managed to rescue nine people from there.
According to Pune Mayor Muralidhar Mohol, the body of the worker was found on the upper floor of the building. The cause of the fire has not been identified yet. Agency
