Kathmandu: The television show ‘Aina’ is scheduled to start airing on Wednesday, January 20. The construction side has informed that the final preparations have been completed for the weekly show which will be aired every Wednesday at 9 pm on Kantipur Television.

The show, hosted by Bishwaprakash Sharma, is said to highlight aspects of human sensitivity to social issues such as discrimination, injustice and harmful practices in Nepali society. The 26-episode show, which is being produced by Dihorizan Multimedia Pvt., Was earlier said to be aired from the first week of Kartik. The show has been postponed for two months due to Covid-19.

Director Aman Pratap Adhikari informed that the program ‘Aina Show’ has been prepared as a complete ‘package’ on any subject by conducting research on social issues in different parts of the country, thorough observation of events and characters, interviews with people related to the incident in the studio and discussions with experts and stakeholders.

The program, which will be 26 episodes in the first season, discusses social issues and related issues in the studio in Kathmandu after on-site research and reporting. Radhakrishna Dhital, project head of Aina, claimed that even though there are limited television shows on such topics abroad, this is the largest television show in Nepal with this level of research, team, hard work and investment.
