Deuba not embarrassed to accept PM: Prachanda
Kathmandu. CPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has expressed confidence that an understanding will be reached between the Nepali Congress and himself against the ‘unconstitutional move’ of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. He said that they are ready to be as flexible as possible for the defense of democracy and constitution.
Giving an interview to journalist Rishi Dhamala on Prime Times Television, Prachanda said that he would not be embarrassed to make Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba the Prime Minister on the condition of saving the constitution and system and providing stability and development. “The main thing is to save the constitution. I will not claim to be the prime minister again,” said Prachanda. Deuba has been made the prime minister before. ‘
Prachanda has also denied allegations that he did politics for his family. Referring to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Prachanda said such allegations could only be made by an autocratic dictator.
He said, “Is it my fault that I am not childless now?” KP is childless. He no longer has to say children, ‘Prachanda continued,’ I am not childless. I have children and grandchildren. There are sons-in-law. Is it my fault? ‘
Arguing that they did not take advantage of the situation because of their children, President Prachanda claimed that the people liked him after he set a record in the war. “Is it because I have children that they have brought facilities somewhere?” Aren’t these people who died yesterday in rebellion and war? My daughter-in-law or daughter-in-law. All of them were in the war, weren’t they?
Prachanda claims that his daughters have contributed a lot to sustain the revolution. “Some went missing in the Bhairavnath Gana for three years, some ran near Rolpa Rukum and won the election,” he said. What’s wrong with me? ‘
