More than 5,000 people visited Manakamana on the same day
Muglin. The number of visitors to the Manakamana temple, a famous religious site in the Shaheed Lakhan village municipality of Gorkha, is increasing. The number of visitors to the Manakamana temple, which has been closed for nine months due to the corona virus, has been increasing.
The number of people visiting Manakamana temple is increasing every day, said Insan Thapa, the chief priest of Manakamana temple. According to him, more than 5,000 visitors have visited the temple on Saturday. Priest Thapa said that the temple has been opened for public visit following health safety measures.
Meanwhile, on Saturday alone, more than 4,000 visitors have reached Manakamana by cable car. Deputy General Manager of Manakamana Darshan Pralika Ujjwal Sherchan said that 4,500 people boarded the cable car on Saturday. According to him, this is the first time that 4,500 people have boarded the cable car since it was shut down due to the Corona epidemic. Before the Corona epidemic, more than 4,500 visitors used to reach Manakamana temple by cable car on public holidays and Saturdays. The cable car has been operated in full compliance with the safety standards.
The Manakamana Temple is located at Ichchakamana-4 Cheras in Chitwan. Apart from cable cars, visitors also reach the temple by road and on foot.
