Youth detained on suspicion of creating fake ‘Public Holiday Today’ notice

KATHMANDU: A man has been taken into custody by the police on suspension of creating a fake notice purportedly from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to Police Inspector Laxman KC from the District Police Office Chitwan, the individual is suspected of producing and circulating a forged notice claiming that today (Wednesday) is a public holiday.

The fake notice was allegedly made by modifying an old announcement from the Ministry.

The District Police Office is currently holding the man in custody and conducting an investigation.

Inspector KC stated that if the individual is confirmed to have disseminated the fake notice, further actions will be taken.
