Woman dies of lightning strike

KATHMANDU: A 50-year-old woman named Saraswati Mahato, a resident of Shikaripur, Madi Municipality-1 in Chitwan, was struck by lightning and passed away on Sunday morning.

The incident occurred while she was feeding the buffalo in her shed.

She sustained severe injuries from the lightning strike and was rushed to Baghauda Hospital in Madi, where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

The police are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
