Foreign Secretary Lamsal set to travel to New Delhi today

KATHMANDU: Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal is set to depart for New Delhi today, leading a delegation to participate in the BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) Foreign Ministers’ Retreat on July 11-12.

During the retreat, discussions will focus on strengthening regional interests, cooperation, and partnerships within the framework of BIMSTEC, as per agreements reached.

This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The foreign ministers and delegation heads from BIMSTEC nations will jointly pay a courtesy call on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the retreat, according to a press release issued by the ministry.

Senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will accompany Secretary Lamsal.

She is scheduled to return to Nepal on Saturday, July 13.
