Prachanda & Oli visit photo exhibition at Congress headquarters

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli attended a program organized to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and then Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala.

The Nepali Congress held the event on Tuesday at its central office in Sanepa, where Dahal and Oli were present to pay their respects.

To mark the centenary of former President Koirala’s birth, the Congress organized a photo exhibition. Top leaders, including the UML Chair, visited the Congress party office to participate in the event.

Prime Minister Dahal and Chairman Oli observed the historical photo exhibition titled “From Revolution to Peace,” which showcased images highlighting Koirala’s significant contributions to the peace process.

Koirala played a crucial role in the 2062/063 People’s Movement and the Comprehensive Peace Agreement. He passed away on haith 7, 2066. During the commemoration, the Congress reminisced about Koirala’s contributions with leaders from various parties, including Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, President of the CPN-UML and former Prime Minister; Pradeep Gyawali, Deputy General Secretary of CPN-UML; and Krishna Prasad Sitaula, a leader of the Congress.
