KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has organized a historic photo exhibition to commemorate the centenary birth anniversary of the party’s former president, Girija Prasad Koirala.

The exhibition, titled “From Revolution to Peace,” was organized by the Central Information, Communication, and Publicity Department of the Nepali Congress at the party’s central office in Lalitpur.

Party president Sher Bahadur Deuba inaugurated the photo exhibition.

Former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has already visited the exhibition.

Publicity Department Chief Min Bishwakarma informed that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, and other former prime ministers are expected to attend.

The exhibition showcases various phases of Girija Prasad Koirala’s role from revolution to peace, according to Bishwakarma.

In addition to the photo exhibition, there will be discussions on the theme “From Revolution to Peace” featuring former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Nepali Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula, and CPN-UML leader Pradeep Kumar Gyawali.

There will also be a discussion titled “The Second Pillar of Prosperity” with contributions from Kathmandu University professor Dr. Achyut Wagle, Hari Sharma, and Manchala Jha.

Furthermore, a program on “Photojournalism: Risks and Experiences” will feature photojournalists Gopal Chitrakar, Min Ratna Bajracharya, Bikash Rauniyar, Chandra Shekhar Karki, Prakash Mathema, and Bikas Karki, as informed by Chief Bishwakarma.
