DIG Posh Raj Pokharel recommended for promotion to AIG post

KATHMANDU: Nepal Police Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Posh Raj Pokharel has been recommended for promotion to the position of Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Police.

The meeting held today at the Secretariat of the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Promotion Committee recommended Pokharel’s promotion.

According to the list of promotions, the recommendation for promotion has been made based on Rule 27 (4) of the Police Regulations, 2071 BS (with amendments).

This information was provided by the Secretary of the Promotion Committee and Police Inspector General Basanta Bahadur Kunwar.

Currently, DIG Pokharel serves as the head of the Traffic Police Office in Kathmandu Valley.
