Weather: Widespread rainfall expected across multiple States

KATHMANDU: The current weather patterns in Nepal indicate significant monsoon activity affecting most parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki States, with eastern areas of Lumbini State also experiencing similar effects.

Meanwhile, local and western winds are partially influencing the remaining regions.

Current Conditions:

• Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces are experiencing partly to generally cloudy skies.
• The rest of the country is witnessing partly cloudy to mostly clear weather.
• Light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is occurring in a few locations across Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali States.

Afternoon Forecast:

• The weather will remain partly to generally cloudy across the country.
• Light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is expected in several places within Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini States.
• Scattered locations in Madhesh, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States will also experience similar conditions.
• There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki States.

Nighttime Forecast:

• The skies will remain partly to generally cloudy nationwide.
• Light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is predicted in several locations within Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini States.
• A few places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim States are also likely to experience these conditions.
• There is a risk of heavy rainfall in isolated areas within Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati States.
