KATHMANDU: The Nepali national cricket team has returned home after playing in the ICC T20 World Cup.

The Nepali team landed at Tribhuvan International Airport at 1:00 AM today morning in two aircraft. Another group is scheduled to land at 10:00 AM today.

In the ongoing World Cup, Nepal was eliminated from the group stage.

Out of four matches, they faced defeat in three and one match was washed out due to rain.

Despite not being able to clinch victory, Nepal received praise for their competitive spirit against Test teams South Africa and Bangladesh.

In the first match, Nepal suffered a six-wicket defeat against the Netherlands.

In the second match against Sri Lanka, Nepal shared points due to rain, while they lost to South Africa by one run and Bangladesh by 21 runs.

The Nepali team will now focus on the ICC World Cup League 2 series.

Nepal is scheduled to play in the upcoming League 2 series starting in September.
