KATHMANDU: The tenth International Yoga Day was celebrated in Kathmandu with the organization of a Yog Science Camp.
The event took place at the Police Headquarters on Wednesday, with Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane as the chief guest.
The camp was organized in collaboration with the Patanjali Yog Committee Nepal and featured various yoga practices.
During the camp, Home Minister Lamichhane participated in different yoga exercises. The attendees also practiced yoga alongside the Home Minister.
Addressing the event, Lamichhane emphasized the need for a collective commitment to maintain a healthy body, sound mind, and regular exercise, as these factors influence decision-making capabilities.
Minister Lamichhane noted that citizens should feel secure when they see uniformed police officers and stressed the importance of physical and mental fitness for the police force to ensure they are always in top form.
