KATHMANDU: The Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Nepal will form its central committee, including office bearers, through consensus.

This announcement was made by Chair Upendra Yadav during the ongoing unity convention of JSP Nepal in Janakpur.

Yadav had already been elected unopposed as the chair on Wednesday.

Since no one else had claimed the position, he was elected unopposed yesterday.

Today, a vote was supposed to take place to elect other members, including office bearers.

However, at the convention hall in Janakpur, Yadav declared that the central committee would be selected through consensus instead of voting, as confirmed by the party’s spokesperson, Manish Suman.

Yadav stated that he was given the authority to make all selections, and the representatives also supported this decision.

According to the party’s constitution, JSP Nepal will have a central committee consisting of 201 members, including 20 office bearers.

There were nominations for all positions today.

However, following the decision to select the leadership by consensus, all candidates withdrew their nominations.

It has been indicated that leaders will now be managed for other positions as well.
