KMC rescues children from Singha Durbar canteen

KATHMANDU: A team from Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) rescued children from a canteen within Singha Durbar.

On Wednesday, a Metropolitan Police team rescued three children working at the canteen of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology inside Singh Durbar.

Mayor Balen dispatched a city police team to Singha Durbar to rescue the children.

Recently, the metropolitan issued a public notice stating that children under 16 years old should not be employed.

Despite this, many places were found to be employing child labor, prompting the metropolis to launch a child rescue campaign.

Previously, the metropolis had also rescued children employed in other locations.

The rescued children have been sheltered at the Human Service Ashram.
