Weather: Monsoon brings rain to eastern Nepal
Light rain is occurring in some areas of Koshi State due to the monsoon.
KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecast Division reports that the eastern part of Nepal is currently under the influence of the monsoon system. Elsewhere, local winds, westerly winds, and a low-pressure area near Bihar, India, are affecting the weather.
Light rain is occurring in some areas of Koshi State due to the monsoon. In the hilly regions of Sudurpaschim and Karnali States, conditions are partly to mostly cloudy, while the rest of the country enjoys clear skies.
This afternoon, hilly areas in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki States will remain mostly clear, with partial cloudiness expected elsewhere. There is a chance of light to moderate rain, with thunder and lightning, in a few places across the hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Koshi State, and in isolated spots throughout the rest of the country.
Tonight, the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki States will be partly to mostly cloudy, while the rest of Nepal will experience partly cloudy to mainly clear weather.
