Captain Paudel optimistic about Lamichhane’s inclusion in team

KATHMANDU: Nepali national cricket team captain Rohit Kumar Paudel has emphasized the advantage of including spinner Sandeep Lamichhane in the Nepali team, stating that it could prove highly beneficial.

During a press conference held prior to their second match in the ICC T20 World Cup, he highlighted Lamichhane’s experience and excellence as a wicket-taking bowler, suggesting that his presence within the team could significantly enhance Nepal’s chances of winning matches.

Paudel noted the favorable conditions for spinners on West Indies pitches and the strategic importance of having a proficient wicket-taking bowler like Lamichhane in the team.

He expressed confidence in Nepal’s ability to defeat Sri Lanka, emphasizing the importance of creating pressure on the opposition.

With a target of scoring around 140 runs, Paudel stated that Nepal stands a good chance of winning, especially if the opening batsmen perform well and instill confidence throughout the team.
