Weather: Impact of local and westerly winds

KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently experiencing the influence of local winds, westerly winds, and a low-pressure system around Bihar.

As a result, Koshi State and the hilly regions of the country have partly cloudy skies, while the rest of the country enjoys mainly clear weather.

Afternoon Forecast:

In the afternoon, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki States, as well as the hilly regions of the country, will see partly to generally cloudy conditions. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to mainly clear skies. There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki States, and at one or two locations in other parts of the country. Additionally, some areas in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim States might experience gusty winds.

Night Forecast:

During the night, Koshi, Sudurpashchim, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali States will experience partly to generally cloudy conditions in the hilly areas, while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to mainly clear skies. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in a few places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki States, and at one or two locations in other parts of the country.
