KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court’s full bench is set to hear the writ against the Koshi State government today.

Last Wednesday, a joint bench of Justices Til Prasad Shrestha and Bal Krishna Dhakal ordered the case to be referred to the full bench.

The writ, filed by Kedar Karki, seeks an interim order against the appointment of a new Chief Minister without dismissing the incumbent, claiming it violates the constitution.

Despite being scheduled once before a single judge and twice before a two-judge bench, the hearing has been moved to the full bench.

The joint bench of Justices deemed it appropriate for the Koshi State dispute to be heard by the full bench.
