KATHMANDU: England has announced its preliminary squad for the Euro Cup, excluding Marcus Rashford.

The Manchester United striker has had a disappointing season in the English Premier League, which has led to his omission from Gareth Southgate’s 33-man squad.

Two seasons ago, Rashford scored 34 goals for both club and country, but his performance has steadily declined since then.

This season, he has managed only seven goals for United. Alongside Rashford, Jordan Henderson and Reece James are also absent from the squad.
