UML leader Rawal demands immediate arrest of Gagan Thapa

KATHMANDU: CPN (UML) leader Dr. Bhim Rawal has called for the immediate arrest of Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa on charges of selling state secrets.

This demand follows a statement made by Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane in the House of Representatives on Monday, accusing Thapa of leaking confidential information to foreign entities.

Dr. Rawal, focusing on Lamichhane’s accusations, took to social media platform Facebook to assert that if Thapa is not prosecuted, Lamichhane himself would be complicit in treason.

Rawal further stated that if the Prime Minister fails to dismiss Lamichhane for not initiating legal action against Thapa, then the Prime Minister should also be held accountable.
