KATHMANDU: An all-party meeting is being held to count the votes of Ilam-2 under the by-election. Chief District Officer of Ilam Indradev Yadav informed that counting of votes will be started after an all-party meeting.

According to him, all concerned parties, including candidates from various political parties, have been summoned for the bipartisan meeting.

Following the meeting, all necessary procedures will be completed, and the vote counting process will begin, he added.

The bipartisan meeting is being held at the Gautam Buddha Convention Center (City Hall) in Ilam Municipality-2, where the vote counting has commenced at two locations within the City Hall premises, as informed by the main election office.

Similarly, preparations to initiate vote counting in Bajhang have also been underway today.

According to Vishwamitra Kuinkel, Chief District Officer, vote counting is pending for three polling stations in Saipal Rural Municipality: Saipal, Eranakuri, and Duli.

These polling stations’ ballot boxes will be airlifted by helicopter, and after their arrival, the bipartisan meeting will be held, followed by the commencement of vote counting.
