Honda Technician Skill Contest 2024 completed; technicians awarded

KATHMANDU: The Honda Technician Skill Contest 2024, organized by Honda with the aim of improving the skills and efficiency of the technicians working in its dealer network and improving the level of after-sales service, has been completed.

In the said contest, Prahlad Dahal, S.T.C. Workshop of Teku won the first prize. Similarly, Om Satya Sahi Auto City Pvt. Ltd. Itahari’s Gajendra Budathoki second and Santosh Arjel of S.T.C. Workshop Kohlpur bagged the third prize.

The amount of cash prize is 50,000 for the first, 30,000 for the second, 20,000 for the third and certificates were also distributed to all the participants.

The program was completed on March 28th at Honda Training Center, Gwarko, Lalitpur, in the presence of Central President of Nepal Auto Mechanics Trade Union Pradip Ghimire and various division heads of Syakar Trading.

According to the directions provided by Honda Japan throughout the competition, the technicians participated in the competition under the Honda Standard Procedure.

Syakar Trading Company Pvt. Ltd. is the official distributor of Honda for Nepal.

Under the leadership of the Service Division, 5 different regional competitions were completed and 2/2 people were selected from each region and conducted in the national level competition.

Syakar Trading Company has been organizing this kind of event every year for the past few years.

According to the company, it is believed that this type of competition will increase the efficiency of the participating technicians and motivate them to move forward with efficiency in the coming days.

Mr. Sitaram Neupane, Service General Major of Syakar Trading Company, said that technicians have an important role in making Honda motorcycle and scooters popular among Nepalese and by properly using the skills and knowledge of technicians, this kind of competition will be a milestone to provide higher level of service to Nepali customers in the future. Apart from the best technicians of all the five States, most of the dealers in Kathmandu valley were also present in the program.
