Storm ravages S. US, 1 dead, dozens injured & thousands without power

KATHMANDU: A severe storm sweeping across the southern region of the United States, spanning from Texas to Florida, has resulted in one fatality and over 10 injuries.

Reports indicate extensive damage to more than a hundred homes and buildings in the affected areas, leaving thousands without electricity.

The lone reported fatality occurred in Scott County, central Mississippi.

Three confirmed storms have wreaked havoc, with two striking Louisiana and one hitting Texas.

Rescue efforts are underway, with over 50 people already rescued in Slidell.
