KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML parliamentary party is set to hold internal consultations with party chair KP Sharma Oli following controversial remarks made by Prime Minister Balen Shah.
A delegation led by parliamentary party leader Ram Bahadur Thapa, along with senior lawmakers, has already headed to Oli’s residence in Gundu for discussions.
According to Chief Whip Ain Mahar, the meeting was called by Oli himself to deliberate on the Prime Minister’s recent statement and its political implications. “We are preparing to take a strong position in Parliament. In this context, the chairperson has invited us for consultations,” Mahar said.
Deputy leader Padma Aryal and Chief Whip Nisha Ghatani were also part of the delegation heading to Gundu.
