KATHMANDU: TikToker Tulsa Adhikari has been arrested in Thailand and extradited to Nepal, where she is currently in police custody in Lalitpur, according to Senior Superintendent of Police Gautam Mishra of the Lalitpur District Police Office.

Adhikari faces charges of fraud and money laundering involving approximately Rs 65.2 million.

Authorities say she fled abroad during the investigation, prompting Nepal Police to issue a Red Notice through Interpol.

The case was initially filed at the Satdobato Police Circle in August on allegations of fraud and criminal breach of trust. Investigators later discovered significant financial transactions in her bank accounts, leading to a parallel money laundering probe.

The complaint was lodged by Kumar Chimoriya, operator of “Hamro Automobiles” in Satdobato.

Following the complaint, Adhikari allegedly went into hiding and left the country.

Police have confirmed that further investigation is now underway following her return to Nepal.
