KATHMANDU: Three people were killed Monday when a training aircraft crashed near the city of Osk in Russia’s Orenburg region, local authorities confirmed. The accident occurred at 12:51 PM local time.
According to regional officials, the victims included two students from the St. Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation and one instructor.
The aircraft was on a training flight at the time of the crash.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that rescue teams found no signs of fire at the crash site.
Local law enforcement agencies have launched a detailed investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
