‘The Everest Dream’: Inspirational documentary on TBI survivors set to premiere at NIFF
Following its Kathmandu premiere, the documentary will be showcased at several international film festivals.
KATHMANDU: A new documentary, ‘The Everest Dream’, which follows the inspiring journey of individuals in Scotland who survived traumatic brain injuries (TBI), is set to premiere at the Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF) in Kathmandu on Chaitra 22.
Directed by Ganesh Pandey, the film captures the extraordinary dreams and resilience of people who, despite facing life-altering accidents, dared to pursue one of humanity’s greatest challenges—climbing Mount Everest.
Following its Kathmandu premiere, the documentary will be showcased at several international film festivals.
Pandey, who spent over a year working on the project, explained that the film highlights the incredible courage and determination of those battling serious injuries while striving to reclaim their lives.
The director has a track record of acclaimed documentaries. His earlier film on earthquake survivors, ‘Bhagyale Banchekaharu’, won multiple international awards and was screened in countries around the world. Additionally, his documentary on polygamy, ‘Co-Husband’, earned numerous film awards and was showcased at more than 40 international film festivals.
With ‘The Everest Dream’, Pandey continues to spotlight extraordinary human stories of resilience, hope, and inspiration.
