Sushil Sitaula joins cast of film ‘Paanch Pandav’

KATHMANDU: Actor Sushil Sitaula has officially joined the cast of the ongoing shoot of the film “Paanch Pandav”.

According to presenter Naveen Shrestha, Sitaula has been signed in one of the lead roles, portraying one of the five central “Pandav” characters.

He will be sharing the screen with veteran actor Harivansh Acharya, along with Jitu Nepal, Aryan Sigdel, and Mahesh Tripathi in the principal ensemble cast.

Previously, versatile actor Prashant Tamrakar and content creator-model Eva Giri had also joined the project.

Directed by Basanta Niraula and produced under Kali Rani Films, the movie “Paanch Pandav” is a social drama written by Sushil Paudel, inspired by the symbolic essence of the five Pandavas from the Mahabharata to reflect contemporary Nepali society.

The film also features Deepa Shree Niraula, Sarita Giri, Binod Neupane, and Rama Thapaliya in key roles.

Filming began on March 16 in Kakardbhitta, Jhapa, with several sequences being shot in scenic and significant locations across the district.

After completing the Jhapa schedule, the production team plans to move to additional locations for the remaining shoot.

Earlier, the production team also made headlines after replacing an actor and deciding to re-shoot parts of the film for ethical and production reasons.
