After losing the toss, Sudurpashchim batted first at the Kirtipur ground but suffered early setbacks.
Both openers were dismissed in the very first over—Jos Brown fell on the second ball, followed by Binod Bhandari on the last ball of the over.
Kathmandu captain and bowler Kiran KC did not allow either batsman to open their account.
Chris Lynn also failed to capitalize, getting out on the fifth ball of the second over after scoring just 2 runs in 10 balls.
Ishan Pandey had a brief chance to stabilize the innings but was caught off Milind Kumar’s delivery, caught by Mohammad Adil Alam.
Ashfi Sheikh attempted to revive the innings for Sudurpashchim, scoring 24 runs from 24 balls, including three boundaries, before being trapped LBW by Rashid Khan.
Despite individual efforts, the Royals’ batting lineup struggled to gain momentum.
