KATHMANDU: Kulman Ghising’s petition has been registered in the Supreme Court.

In his petition, Kulman claims that he was unlawfully removed from his position.

The Cabinet had dismissed him from his role, citing his inability to perform effectively. However, Kulman has approached the court demanding the annulment of the government’s decision and his reinstatement as the Executive Director.

Kulman has named the Prime Minister’s Office, Energy Minister Deepak Khadka and his ministry, the Nepal Electricity Authority’s Board of Directors, and the newly appointed Executive Director Hitendradev Shakya as respondents.

The Supreme Court has scheduled the preliminary hearing for his petition on Friday.
