Detailed flight maps tracing the drones’ routes were also released.
KATHMANDU: Russia’s Defense Ministry on Wednesday unveiled wreckage and flight paths of drones used in an attempted attack on President Vladimir Putin’s official residence.
At a press briefing, the ministry presented footage of the intercepted drones, showing black fragments, wooden structural components, and red electrical wires scattered in the snow.
Detailed flight maps tracing the drones’ routes were also released.
According to the maps, the drones were launched from Ukraine’s Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Some drones flew over Russia’s Bryansk, Smolensk, and Tver regions before being destroyed.
The flight paths showed one drone heading directly east, while others took longer, more circuitous routes.
The attack attempt occurred overnight between Sunday and Monday.
Russian authorities reported no casualties or damage within Russian territory.
