KATHMANDU: Badan Bhandari, Secretary of the Central Public Affairs Department of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), was brutally attacked near his residence in Kapan, Kathmandu, last night.

The party confirmed that Bhandari sustained serious head injuries and required ten stitches.

According to party leader Deepak Bohora, while Bhandari’s CT scan report was positive, he has been called for a follow-up at the hospital today.

The incident occurred around 8 PM on Wednesday as Bhandari was returning home to Pragatinagar from his office in Feka, Kapan.

Bhandari stated that three individuals on a motorcycle attacked him—one struck him on the head with a rod, while another targeted his legs.

He managed to escape into his house, after which the assailants fled the scene.

He was immediately taken to Stupa Community Hospital in Chabahil for treatment.

The attackers have not yet been identified. Raswapa has informed the police, and the Bouddha Police are currently investigating the incident.
