RSP calls emergency meeting amid Gen Z protest violence

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has called an emergency meeting in response to the ongoing Gen Z protests and the police crackdown, spokesperson Manish Jha confirmed.

The meeting at the party secretariat is scheduled for 4 PM today.

Earlier, during the Gen Z demonstration in New Baneshwor, police opened fire, resulting in the death of one protester and injuries to several others.

Security personnel have been deployed at the site to prevent further escalation.
