RSP accelerates preparations for first general convention in Chitwan

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has intensified preparations for its first-ever general convention scheduled to take place in Chitwan from June 21 to 23.

To ensure a grand and well-organized event, the party has formed a central “Main Convention Organizing Committee” under the leadership of party president Rabi Lamichhane.

According to party spokesperson Kabindra Burlakoti, the committee has been established to manage overall coordination and execution of the historic convention.

The organizing committee includes senior leaders such as vice president and Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle, general secretaries Kabindra Burlakoti and Bhupdev Shah, co-general secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya, treasurer Lima Adhikari, and co-treasurer Basumaya Tamang.

Other key members include spokesperson Manish Jha, secretariat member Birajbhakta Shrestha, Deepak Raj Bohara, Law Minister Sobita Gautam, Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, along with Hari Dhakal, Sarita Ghimire, and Sagar Dhakal.

The committee has also been expanded to include all central committee members and provincial party presidents from all seven provinces, aiming to ensure broad participation and effective management of the convention.

Party leaders say the convention will be a milestone event, expected to strengthen internal organization and shape the party’s future political direction.
