Rabi Lamichhane leaving for five-day India visit

KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), is departing for a five-day visit to India on Monday at the invitation of Nitin Navin, president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
According to the party, Lamichhane will return to Nepal on June 5.
RSP spokesperson Manish Jha announced the visit through a press statement issued on Sunday.
During his stay in India, Lamichhane is scheduled to hold high-level political and diplomatic meetings in New Delhi.
He will also interact with members of the Nepali community and with party supporters residing in India.
As part of his personal itinerary, Lamichhane is also expected to visit Ayodhya.
In a separate statement, Vijay Chauthaiwale, head of the BJP’s foreign affairs department, confirmed the visit and said Lamichhane is set to meet BJP President Nitin Navin and other senior party leaders in New Delhi.
The delegation accompanying Lamichhane includes RSP Joint General Secretary and Member of Parliament Bipin Kumar Acharya, Secretariat Member and MP Deepak Bohara, Nikita Paudel, and Pradeep Acharya.
