Prohibitory order imposed in Kaski as Gen Z protesters clash with police

KATHMANDU: Authorities have imposed a prohibitory order in Kaski following violent incidents during ongoing Gen Z protests.

Demonstrators attempted to set fire to the office of the Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, triggering clashes with police.

Security forces responded with tear gas and water cannons to control the situation.

Chief District Officer Rudradevi Sharma announced the curfew in the area surrounding Shaheed Chowk, effective from 2 PM until further notice.
