Price of gold & silver hit record high

KATHMANDU: The prices of gold and silver in the Nepalese market reached historic highs today.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, the rate of Chhapawal gold has surged to an all-time peak, while silver has also touched a new record.

Today, Chhapawal gold is trading at Rs 248,500 per tola, an increase of Rs 8,100 compared to Monday, when it was priced at Rs 240,400 per tola.

This marks one of the largest single-day jumps in recent times.

Similarly, silver has seen a notable rise, climbing from Rs 3,220 per tola on Monday to Rs 3,325 today.

The association reported that the current price of 10 grams of gold stands at Rs 213,050, while 10 grams of silver is priced at Rs 2,850.50.
