KATHMANDU: On the occasion of International Youth Day, President Ram Chandra Paudel addressed a program emphasizing the crucial role of youth in building a prosperous Nepal by standing firmly on the foundation of the existing political system.

He highlighted that the responsibility of carving the nation’s destiny and future rests on the shoulders of the young generation.

Confident in their capabilities, the President urged youths to fulfill this historic duty by actively engaging in entrepreneurship and self-employment, which he identified as vital demands of the current era.

In today’s rapidly globalizing world marked by swift advancements in information technology, he stressed that achieving good governance, development, and prosperity is the foremost task of the youth.

President Paudel underscored entrepreneurship as the cornerstone of economic development and called for prioritizing policies and programs that promote entrepreneurship to curb youth migration abroad by attracting them towards employment opportunities within the country.

He also applauded Nepali youths for excelling in various entrepreneurial fields such as technology-based innovation, sports, entertainment, and information technology.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment, the President stated that facilitation of concessional loans, youth-friendly investment environments, and the expansion of innovation and entrepreneurship remain top priorities to empower the tech-savvy Nepalese youth domestically.
