KATHMANDU: Actor Biraj Bhatt’s upcoming action film ‘12 Gaun 2’, which he is both producing and directing, is shaping up with an interesting ensemble cast.

The film is set to begin shooting in the last week of Baisakh, with Biraj himself playing the lead role.

Alongside him, actors Samir Bhatt, Anoop Bikram Shahi, and Khushi Karki have already been confirmed for key roles.

Adding more excitement to the cast, actor Prakash Shah has now been signed as the antagonist. Biraj Bhatt brought him on board earlier this week.

The duo had previously worked together in ‘Sanglo’, marking their second collaboration. Shah expressed enthusiasm about reuniting with Biraj, stating that his role in the film is powerful and impactful.

Popularly known as the “handsome villain,” Prakash Shah began his acting career with the 2019 film ‘Love Station’.

Although the film did not perform well commercially, his performance was widely appreciated.

He has since appeared in films including ‘Sanglo’, ‘Ramayan’, ‘Hunter’, and ‘Jalo’. Currently, he is also busy shooting for ‘Muktipur’.

‘12 Gaun 2’ is being developed as a high-intensity action film. Compared to its predecessor, the sequel is being produced on a larger scale.

To achieve this, Biraj Bhatt is bringing in technical crew members—including assistant directors and stunt coordinators—from South India.

Meanwhile, a major action sequence is currently under construction in a studio in Kathmandu, where a detailed set is being prepared for filming.
