Police use tear gas against royalist protesters

KATHMANDU: Police have used tear gas against royalist protesters in Kathmandu’s Tinkune area.

The protesters, led by Durga Prasai, were demanding the reinstatement of the monarchy.

The situation escalated when the protesters tried to break through the police barricade and move towards Banshwar.

The tension arose when the police attempted to stop the protesters at Tinkune.

The royalist protesters have expressed dissatisfaction with the current republic system, claiming that the establishment of the republic has made daily life more difficult for the people.

They are calling for the restoration of the monarchy.
