Police open fire on Gen Z protest

KATHMANDU: Police fired rubber bullets to control escalating protests led by the Gen Z group in New Baneshwor after demonstrators attempted to enter the Parliament building.

Authorities said the demonstration spiraled out of control, forcing security forces to use non-lethal measures to restore order.

A significant deployment of police personnel has been stationed at the site, and the public has been advised to avoid the area.

While some protesters are reportedly injured, official confirmation of casualties is still pending.
